For the members of Silky Steps, the now 10-year old AM album by Arctic Monkeys was a life-altering affair. At the time in high school, the music induced a craze of leather jackets and chokers among all the bands in Pernau.

Silky Steps was no exception. Now they poured those raw, messy and lust-filled school days into their version of "I Wanna Be Yours" - doused with a thick layer of smooth. The original slow dance feel got turned into something adequate for the peak hour. The song's unforgettable melody and Alex Turner's unbeatable lyrics remain intact, while being sung by Silky's male-female vocalists.

Brilliantly standing the test of time, the album AM turned ten in September. The single in question "I Wanna Be Yours" is still in the Spotify global Top 50 chart. Keeping with the times, the cover versions include a "slowed" version suitable for a more downtempo, balearic playlist.
